Rupiah at Rp17,400, BI Governor Meets with Airlangga's Office

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Bank Indonesia Governor Perry Warjiyo visited the office of Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto this morning at 10:30 WIB on Tuesday (5/5/2026). This meeting took place ahead of the release of Indonesia’s economic growth data by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) at 11:00 WIB today. Currently, the rupiah exchange rate is under increasing pressure against the US dollar. The pressure on the Garuda currency has deepened after it opened weaker at the start of trading.
