Minister of Investment and Downstreaming Rosan Roeslani stated that investment contributed around 32 percent to Indonesia’s 5.61 percent economic growth in the first quarter of 2026. Rosan said that this investment contribution is higher than the previous trend, which generally ranged from 28 to 29 percent. “Alhamdulillah, this 5.61 percent economic growth shows that our economy is running very well, very positive,” Rosan said after a meeting at the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, Jakarta, on Tuesday. He explained that out of the total growth, investment provided a contribution of around 1.8 percentage points. “From my portion, of course, in terms of investment, it contributes 32 percent of the total 5.61 percent growth or about 1.8 percent,” he said. According to him, the increase in investment contribution is one of the factors driving the national economy’s strong performance. Rosan said that investment has generally contributed below 30 percent to economic growth so far. “So far, investment has usually contributed around 28 to 29 percent. Alhamdulillah, this (has increased to) 32 percent,” he said. He assessed that this achievement reflects investment activity proceeding above target during that period. According to him, strong investment performance has a positive impact on various economic sectors. Rosan added that the larger investment contribution is expected to maintain the momentum of economic growth in the future.
