Risa wins Penang C'ship

JAKARTA (JP): Risa Suseanty of Indonesia won the women's open race at the Penang international mountain bike championship at the Youth Park in Penang, Malaysia on Saturday, Bernama reported.

The 1997 Southeast Asian (SEA) Games champion clocked 38 minutes 50.72 seconds in the 20km event. Compatriot Kasmawati finished second in 41:00.08 and Malaysian Zulikha Ahmad Sayuti was third in 47:36.57s.

The event served as a warmup for Indonesian bikers prior to the Kuala Lumpur Games from Sept. 8 to Sept. 17. (yan)
