RI's antidumping duties
JAKARTA (JP): Indonesia's antidumping committee has imposed duties on imports of hot rolled coil or plates from China, India, Russia and the Ukraine, to replace temporary tariffs introduced earlier this year.
A ministerial decree on the new import duties was issued Monday but it has been effective since April 17 and will last for five years.
According to Antara, importers which had paid higher duties before the new decree was issued would be refunded for their excess duties.
Under the decree, hot rolled coil or plates from China would be given a 30 percent duty, those imported from India's Tata Iron and Steel (26 percent) from another Indian company, Essar Iron and Steel (23 percent), while other companies from the country (38 percent).
Russia's Novolipetsk gets a 19 percent antidumping duty, while other Russian companies (39 percent), Ukraine's Ilych Iron and Steel (18 percent), Zaporozsthal (26 percent), other Ukrainian companies (42 percent). (das)
