Rilke Jeffri Huwae Appointed as Director General of Law Enforcement in Energy and Mining Sector
Jakarta, TAMBANG – Rilke Jeffri Huwae has been officially appointed as Director General of Law Enforcement (Dirjen Gakkum) for the energy and mineral resources (ESDM) sector by Minister Bahlil Lahadalia.
The Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Bahlil Lahadalia, stated that the appointment of Rilke Jeffri Huwae was not without reason. According to Bahlil, Jeffri, who comes from the prosecutorial institution, has a strong track record and meets the requirements to lead the newly established body. He previously served as head of the public prosecution office in several regions with numerous mining concessions.
"His rank already meets the requirements. Secondly, he was a prosecutor in North Maluku, where there are mining concessions, and in Bangka Belitung," said Bahlil after the inauguration ceremony at the ESDM Building in Jakarta on Wednesday (25/6).
Based on information compiled by tambang.co.id, Rilke Jeffri Huwae was born in Masohi, Central Maluku Regency, Maluku Province. Born on 14 February 1970, he completed his undergraduate degree at the Faculty of Law, Pattimura University in Ambon in 1993. He subsequently attended the IBLAM College of Law in 2004 and enrolled in the doctoral programme at the Faculty of Law, Jayabaya University in 2024.
His career record encompasses a number of strategic positions, including Senior Adviser for Priority Investment Sector Development at the Ministry of Investment/BKPM (2024), Head of the Legal Bureau at the Ministry of Investment/BKPM (2021–2024), and Head of the Ternate District Prosecution Office (2020–2021). Prior to these roles, he also served as Assistant for Civil and State Administrative Affairs at the North Maluku High Prosecution Office (2019–2020), Head of the Bangka District Prosecution Office (2017–2019), and Head of the Fakfak District Prosecution Office (2014–2017).
