The Riau Regional Police (Polda) have demonstrated remarkable achievements in building community connectivity infrastructure. Polda Riau is targeting 110 bridges, of which 27, including in Gobah Village, Tambang District, Kampar Regency, have been completed at 100 per cent.

“In total there are 110 bridges in the overall programme, with 27 bridges completed in the first phase. The remaining 83 bridges are in various stages of development, with some already undergoing construction and others entering the groundbreaking phase,” said Riau’s Regional Police Chief Irjen Pol Herry Heryawan during the bridge inauguration ceremony in Tambang District, Kampar Regency, on Tuesday (17 March 2026).

The Regional Police Chief explained that the figure 110 holds strong philosophical meaning for the Bhayangkara Corps. The number symbolises the value of Satyahaprabu, the highest principle of loyalty to the nation and its leaders.

“The number 110, or ‘One-One-Zero’, symbolises the value of Satyahaprabu, which means loyalty to the nation and its leaders,” he stated.

The Regional Police Chief described the project as a concrete manifestation of the Polri Precision spirit (Predictive, Accountability, and Justice-Based Transparency). According to him, the National Police does not only serve in law enforcement but also as an engine of community service.

“Precision is the vision of the National Police Chief which emphasises the ethics of service. Precision is how we ensure that every step of the police force always carries value and benefits the community,” he added.

This two-star general further stated that through the construction of these Red and White Precision Bridges, Riau Police have learnt many positive lessons from the leadership of the National Police Chief.

“That great leaders are not merely those who follow state orders, but those capable of translating them into touch points that are deeply meaningful in the lives and hearts of the people,” he said.

Bridging Civilisation and Hope

The Regional Police Chief emphasised that these bridges are the lifeblood of Malay civilisation that has grown along major rivers such as the Siak, Rokan, Indragiri and Kampar rivers. With these regions now connected through 110 new points, the police are optimistic that civilisation will develop more rapidly through strong interaction and connectivity.

“No great civilisation is born from isolation. Civilisation grows when people are connected and strengthen one another,” he noted.

Closing his remarks, the Regional Police Chief stated that the bridge construction project represents the police presence not only as law enforcers but also as Helper Police, and are expected to continually provide benefits to the community.

“Khairunnas anfa’uhum linnas. Because the best of people are those who are beneficial to others,” he concluded.

Present at the inauguration were Minister of Forestry Raja Juli Antoni, Commission IV Chair of the House of Representatives Titiek Soeharto, Acting Governor of Riau SF Haryanto, and Kampar Regent Ahmad Yuzar. Also in attendance were Deputy Regional Police Chief of Riau Brigjen Hengki Haryadi, Kampar Police Chief Boby Ramadan Putra Sebayang, senior officials of Riau Police and Kampar Police, as well as local customary leaders and community members.
