RI to open centers in Hungary
JAKARTA (JP): Indonesia wants to open a trade distribution
center in Budapest in a bid to penetrate the markets of eastern
and western Europe, Indonesian Ambassador to Hungary Hassan
Abduldjalil has said.
Indonesian products could enter the European markets through
ports in Hungary, Croatia and Slovenia, he told Antara in Berlin
Thursday.
In a press conference on Indonesia's participation in the
Spring Festival in Debrecen, Hungary last March 16, Abduldjalil
said that after reaching Hungary's ports, Indonesian products
could be distributed to European markets via land transportation
once Hungary becomes a member of the European Union.
Indonesia and Hungary need to improve their bilateral trade
ties as Indonesia only exports textile and textile products to
Hungary, he said, adding that the country also intends to export
palm oil to Hungary.
Indonesia in turn imported 40 gas-fueled buses from Hungary,
the ambassador said.
