Reviewing Serdang Bedagai SRT, KSP Ensures Prabowo's Programme is Underway
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Chief of Staff to the Presidency, Dudung Abdurachman, visited the Integrated People’s School (SRT) 1 in Serdang Bedagai Regency, North Sumatra, on Monday, to ensure the priority programmes of President Prabowo Subianto are proceeding as planned.
“The duty of the Chief of Staff to the Presidency is to ensure the President’s priority programmes, one of which is the Integrated People’s School,” said Dudung, according to a statement from the Presidential Staff Office (KSP) received in Jakarta on Monday.
During the visit, Dudung personally observed the implementation of the educational process as well as the development of the People’s School. He also inspected classrooms and dormitories to directly assess the facilities used by students in their daily educational lives.
The inspection was conducted to observe field conditions and identify areas that still require improvement. “At this time, we are reviewing the educational process directly, and if there are any deficiencies, I will certainly communicate them with the relevant ministries,” he said.
The visit was attended by the Regent of Serdang Bedagai, Darma Wijaya, and accompanied by the Acting Deputy IV of the KSP, Fadjar Dwi Wishnuwardhani, along with various special staff and expert staff of the Chief of Staff to the Presidency.
The People’s School programme is one of the initiatives receiving significant attention from President Prabowo. Dudung stated that the government’s target is to build 590 People’s Schools throughout Indonesia by 2029.
Currently, 93 permanent People’s Schools have been established in the second phase. Additionally, 66 proposed People’s Schools are ready for the third phase. The construction of People’s Schools is targeted to reach approximately 100 schools annually.
He assessed that the People’s School programme serves an important purpose in ensuring that children from underprivileged families continue to have access to education. The programme also provides various facilities to support the students’ learning process.
“The goal is to ensure that all children attend school and that no one drops out. Therefore, those in deciles 1 to 5 who drop out, and even street children, will receive extraordinary facilities,” he said.
According to him, the President’s focus on human resource development is not only realised through the People’s School. The government is also preparing various other educational programmes to create a superior generation, including excellence schools and ‘Sekolah Garuda’.
“The President’s concentration is towards the ‘Indonesia Emas 2045’ (Golden Indonesia 2045). These superior seeds are being truly prepared so that we can compete with other nations,” said Dudung.
He noted that human resource development is a vital asset for Indonesia in facing the demographic bonus. With abundant natural resources and competent human resources, Indonesia is expected to advance and increase its national competitiveness.
“In the future, with abundant natural resources and competent human resources, God willing, the 2045 demographic bonus will become our primary capital to further advance this nation,” concluded Dudung.
