Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Chief of Staff to the Presidency, Dudung\nAbdurachman, visited the Integrated People\u2019s School (SRT) 1 in Serdang\nBedagai Regency, North Sumatra, on Monday, to ensure the priority\nprogrammes of President Prabowo Subianto are proceeding as planned.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe duty of the Chief of Staff to the Presidency is to ensure the\nPresident\u2019s priority programmes, one of which is the Integrated People\u2019s\nSchool,\u201d said Dudung, according to a statement from the Presidential\nStaff Office (KSP) received in Jakarta on Monday.<\/p>\n
During the visit, Dudung personally observed the implementation of\nthe educational process as well as the development of the People\u2019s\nSchool. He also inspected classrooms and dormitories to directly assess\nthe facilities used by students in their daily educational lives.<\/p>\n
The inspection was conducted to observe field conditions and identify\nareas that still require improvement. \u201cAt this time, we are reviewing\nthe educational process directly, and if there are any deficiencies, I\nwill certainly communicate them with the relevant ministries,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>\n
The visit was attended by the Regent of Serdang Bedagai, Darma\nWijaya, and accompanied by the Acting Deputy IV of the KSP, Fadjar Dwi\nWishnuwardhani, along with various special staff and expert staff of the\nChief of Staff to the Presidency.<\/p>\n
The People\u2019s School programme is one of the initiatives receiving\nsignificant attention from President Prabowo. Dudung stated that the\ngovernment\u2019s target is to build 590 People\u2019s Schools throughout\nIndonesia by 2029.<\/p>\n
Currently, 93 permanent People\u2019s Schools have been established in the\nsecond phase. Additionally, 66 proposed People\u2019s Schools are ready for\nthe third phase. The construction of People\u2019s Schools is targeted to\nreach approximately 100 schools annually.<\/p>\n
He assessed that the People\u2019s School programme serves an important\npurpose in ensuring that children from underprivileged families continue\nto have access to education. The programme also provides various\nfacilities to support the students\u2019 learning process.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe goal is to ensure that all children attend school and that no\none drops out. Therefore, those in deciles 1 to 5 who drop out, and even\nstreet children, will receive extraordinary facilities,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
According to him, the President\u2019s focus on human resource development\nis not only realised through the People\u2019s School. The government is also\npreparing various other educational programmes to create a superior\ngeneration, including excellence schools and \u2018Sekolah Garuda\u2019.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe President\u2019s concentration is towards the \u2018Indonesia Emas 2045\u2019\n(Golden Indonesia 2045). These superior seeds are being truly prepared\nso that we can compete with other nations,\u201d said Dudung.<\/p>\n
He noted that human resource development is a vital asset for\nIndonesia in facing the demographic bonus. With abundant natural\nresources and competent human resources, Indonesia is expected to\nadvance and increase its national competitiveness.<\/p>\n
