Responding to Prabowo's Invitation, Jusuf Kalla and Zulkifli Hasan Arrive at the Presidential Palace

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - A number of political and national figures began arriving at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Tuesday evening, 3 March 2026, to attend a meeting with President Prabowo Subianto. Observers at the scene noted that the figures arrived from two different gates. Some entered via the gate near the Presidential Pillar at Jl Veteran, while others came through the gate near the Merdeka Palace at Jl Medan Merdeka Utara. Observers at the scene showed that the 10th and 12th Vice Presidents Jusuf Kalla arrived around 19:00 WIB. Just before entering Merdeka Palace via the stairs on the right-hand side, he was greeted by State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya. Meanwhile, other figures who had been seen included PAN chairman Zulkifli Hasan and PKS chairman Almuzzammil Yusuf. They arrived from the rear gate to the Presidential Palace. Earlier reports stated that President Prabowo Subianto invited former presidents to attend an event at the Merdeka Palace, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday night, 3 March 2026. Several figures were confirmed to attend. They include the 6th President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and the 7th President Joko Widodo.
