Residents Can Now File Police Reports and Missing Persons Reports via App
The National Police Headquarters has officially launched a feature for creating Police Reports (LP) and Missing Persons Reports (LK) online via the Polri Super Apps. Deputy Chief of Police Komjen Dedi Prasetya described the launch of this feature as one of the efforts to accelerate responses and restore public trust. He stated that this innovation is also an implementation of Chief of Police Jenderal Listyo Sigit Prabowo’s priority programme, which emphasises the transformation of technology-based public services that are fast, easy, and transparent. “The police are required to immediately evaluate public complaints in the first quarter, particularly by reducing the response time of members to under 10 minutes,” Dedi said in his speech on Tuesday (14/4). Dedi said that through this online LP and LK creation feature, it is also hoped to significantly reduce bureaucratic processes. He assured that the report creation process goes through a secure and integrated identity verification system. Later, he said, the public can make initial reports or handle missing persons certificates via mobile devices without always having to be physically present at the police station. In its inauguration, Dedi said that the Polri Super Apps is a collective asset of the entire Polri organisation. This app functions as a single container that integrates all police services into one door. “The police prove their consistency in accelerating digitalisation as an effort to provide prime and modern services in the digital era,” he concluded.
