Religious Affairs Minister Begins Phased Disbursement of Professional Allowances for Madrasah and Religious Education Teachers
Religious Affairs Minister Nasaruddin Umar announced that professional allowances (TPG) for madrasah teachers are being disbursed in phases. Nasaruddin stated that the ministry is accelerating the issuance of Eligibility Verification Decision Letters (SKAKPT).
“Professional allowances for madrasah teachers are being disbursed in phases, thank goodness. Currently, we are accelerating the issuance of SKAKPT eligibility verification decision letters for teachers who have met administrative requirements,” Nasaruddin said during a working session with Commission VIII of the House of Representatives at Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, on Thursday, 12 March 2026.
Nasaruddin explained that based on SKAKPT processing data from 2 and 4 March 2026, of the total 405,438 madrasah teachers with Teacher Registration Numbers, 246,449 decision letters have been issued. This figure includes 32,081 teachers who completed the Teacher Professional Education (PPG) programme in 2025.
“Meanwhile, approximately 158,989 other teachers are still undergoing administrative finalisation for SKAKPT issuance in the next phase,” he said.
He noted that in addition to madrasah teachers, professional allowances are provided to other religious education teachers. For Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers, 209,324 individuals are recorded, including 91,028 teachers and supervisors who completed PPG in 2025, and will receive TPG in phases.
“5,606 non-civil service Christian Religious Education teachers will receive TPG in 2026. Additionally, 9,893 Christian Religious Education teachers who completed PPG in 2025 will also receive TPG this year,” he said.
“Our colleagues from the Christian Religious Affairs Directorate are grateful to the Islamic Education Directorate for providing the opportunity to participate together in the TPG programme,” he added.
Subsequently, 12,400 Catholic Religious Education teachers will receive TPG in 2026, consisting of 8,568 civil service teachers and 3,832 non-civil service teachers. This figure includes 5,972 Catholic Religious Education teachers who completed PPG in 2025.
Furthermore, 6,073 Hindu Religious Education teachers will receive TPG in 2026, comprising 4,982 civil service teachers and 1,091 non-civil service teachers. Of the recipients, 3,684 are PPG 2025 graduates.
“1,423 Buddhist Religious Education teachers will receive professional allowances in 2026, consisting of 561 non-civil service teachers and 862 civil service teachers. This includes 512 Buddhist Religious Education teachers who completed PPG in 2025,” he stated.
