Regent Jakarta to open

JAKARTA (JP): The Regent Jakarta Hotel in the Kuningan area
has stepped up its recruitment and training as the countdown to
its opening in April gains momentum.

The hotel's staff members increased to 253 last week when
waiters and waitresses for its five food and beverage outlets
began their training, the Regent Jakarta's General Manager,
Michael Burchett, said yesterday.

The staff will further increase to 404 as kitchen and
housekeeping and front office staff will join on Monday and will
further expand to 500 by the end of March and will double to
almost 1,000 by the end of the year, Burchett added.

He said the hotel will boast a total of 384 rooms with a
minimum size of 55 square meters, each with a private balcony.
