Investigators from the Mobile Crime Unit of Jakarta Metropolitan Police conducted a crime scene reconstruction of the murder of DH (56), whose remains were discovered in Limo District, Depok City. Suspect Ahmad Ronny Hasiholan (44), the victim’s unregistered husband, demonstrated 56 scenes of the crime.

“A reconstruction of the case has been conducted, showcasing 56 scenes,” said AKP Charles Bagaisar, Chief of Section IV of the Mobile Crime Unit at Jakarta Metropolitan Police, to journalists on Friday, 13 March 2026.

The reconstruction took place at the actual crime scene on Jalan Damai Raya, Kelurahan Meruyung, Limo District, Depok City, on the morning of the reconstruction. The suspect Ronny was present and directly demonstrated each scene.

AKP Charles stated that the reconstruction was conducted to clarify the sequence of events in the murder. During the reconstruction, the suspect demonstrated scenes from the initial murder of the victim through to covering the body with carpet and sprinkling it with coffee powder.

“The results of the reconstruction will be printed and filed in the case documentation to provide a clear picture of the criminal act to the public prosecutor,” he explained.

Motive for the Murder

The case came to light after the victim’s family reported to police regarding the discovery of the body on Saturday, 7 March. At the time, the victim’s child and their partner were cleaning the house.

Police uncovered the motive behind Ahmad Ronny’s murder of his unregistered wife, whose body was found in a skeletal state. Their unregistered marriage took place in December 2024. The suspect claimed he killed the victim out of hurt feelings.

“The suspect, known to be unemployed, felt hurt after being evicted from the home by the victim. He then committed murder,” said Kombes Budi Hermanto, Head of Public Relations of Jakarta Metropolitan Police, to journalists on Monday, 9 March.

Police revealed that the motive for the killing was related to economic problems. “The preliminary motive is suspected to be rooted in economic issues,” he added.
