On the eve of Idul Fitri (takbiran) I was almost hypnotized by
the event held at the National Monument. It was a thrilling scene
for every soul at the end of fasting month.

It was also a spectacular display of visual art which carried
spiritual significance and was attended by people from all walks
of life -- power holders, ulemas, entrepreneurs, preachers,
artists and cultured people, including Emha Ainun Nadjib and
Rhoma Irama.

It was a great moment for people to realize the significance
of brotherhood by shaking each other's hands and hugging each
other. The religious figures at the sacred function gave the
event divine resonance. We should make this event a tradition
from now on.
