Realme Phone Prices Start to Shift, One Model Increases
Chinese smartphone vendor Realme has begun raising the price of one of its products in Indonesia this April 2026. This increase occurs amid a trend of rising device prices from several other vendors since the start of the year. Based on data gathered by KompasTekno, only one Realme phone model has undergone a price adjustment, while others remain stable. The model experiencing the rise is the Realme C85 Pro variant with 8 GB RAM/128 GB storage. On Realme’s official page, the listed price for this phone is Rp 3.6 million. According to KompasTekno’s records, this price is up from Rp 2.9 million in March, an increase of around Rp 700,000. Prices for other models are observed to be unchanged. This price hike comes amid a similar trend in the global smartphone industry. Several other vendors, particularly Chinese ones like Oppo, OnePlus, and Vivo, have reportedly started raising their phone prices since March 2026, though only for certain models. Analysts assess that this trend is triggered by rising component costs, especially memory. Prices for DRAM and NAND, two main components in smartphones, have surged significantly due to supply limitations and high demand from the artificial intelligence (AI) industry. This situation has pushed up smartphone production costs. Manufacturers are expected to pass on this increase to device selling prices, particularly in the entry-level and mid-range segments which have thinner margins.
