BINTARO - Global economic volatility is placing significant pressure on the automotive industry, including electric motorcycle producers. The rise in global oil prices is directly causing a surge in the cost of raw material components, from plastics to batteries.

Purbaya Pantja, Chief Executive Officer of ALVA, explained that the current global situation is triggering a drastic increase in prices of petroleum derivatives. One of the most affected areas is plastic-based components.

“If we talk about raw materials, with the world in this state where oil prices have risen quite significantly, it has an impact on the derivatives. One of the derivatives is, of course, plastic from oil, and the effect is quite drastic,” said Purbaya in Bintaro on Tuesday (28/4/2026).

“The trend is not hard to see. One of the main battery components is Lithium Carbonate. Its price is public, and the increase has been quite significant since last year, even multiplying. That’s also what has caused battery prices to rise,” he added.

Not only raw material factors, but currency exchange rate fluctuations are also a variable to consider, given that many components are still based on the US Dollar (USD).

“So far, we haven’t (raised motorcycle prices). So we’re seeing how it develops. When talking about prices, we certainly consider everything, from component prices to the USD influence,” said Purbaya.

Currently, ALVA offers three electric motorcycle models for sale: N3 Next Gen, One XP, and Cervo. Prices range from Rp 30 million to Rp 40 million.

Specifically for the N3 Next Gen, there is now a battery rental scheme called Bebas Pas. The motorcycle price drops from Rp 35.5 million to Rp 15.5 million, with monthly battery rental starting at Rp 125,000.

The One XP model is offered at Rp 38.5 million for one battery and Rp 39.5 million for two batteries. Then Cervo, priced starting at Rp 25 million with the Bebas or battery rental scheme, and Rp 35.75 million (two batteries) which has been discounted from Rp 42 million by ALVA.

Meanwhile, the Cervo X, which uses the newest battery and supports fast charging or Boost Charge, is priced starting at Rp 37.9 million with the Bebas scheme and Rp 44.9 million with the battery.

Finally, the most expensive Cervo Q at Rp 49.5 million. The most significant difference is that it is equipped with ABS on its braking system.
