Rapper Vanilla Ice to perform here

JAKARTA (JP): Jakarta rap music fans will be in for a rare
treat when rap musician Vanilla Ice performs at the M-Club, Blok
M, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, on July 29 at 8 p.m.

Organized by PT Buena Produktama, which also invited Run DMC
last year, Vanilla Ice will also perform in Bandung (at Studio
East) on July 30 and in Surabaya on July 31. Tickets for the show
are priced at between Rp 50,000 and Rp 60,000 each.

Born Robbie Van Winkle in Miami in l968, Vanilla Ice was
discovered by noted disc jockey Darrell J. in l990. In the same
year, he launched his first album To the Extreme which included
hit song Ice Ice Baby. The album sold about 15 million copies.

In his concert, Vanilla Ice will perform his newest songs from
his new album Mind Blowin.

He has also had roles in several movies such as Teenage Mutant
Ninja Turtles: The Secret of the Ooze and Cool as Ice. (raw)
