Jakarta — The momentum of the holy month is being harnessed by Universitas Bina Sarana Informatika (UBSI) to deliver tangible acts through the UBSI Berbagi Nasi Box Ramadhan 1447 H programme. The annual Ramadhan activity, distributing nasi boxes for iftar, is conducted consistently at UBSI Fatmawati Campus, targeting local residents, online motorcycle taxi drivers, roaming street vendors, and daily earners who are still active as Maghrib approaches.

The UBSI Fatmawati Campus carries out the nasi box distribution from Monday to Friday during Ramadan. The distribution takes place ahead of the iftar time and is met with enthusiasm by the surrounding community.

Residents appear orderly queuing to receive the meals distributed by the campus community as a form of care and the spirit of sharing in the holy month.

Head of UBSI Fatmawati Campus, Ishak Kholil, emphasised that the activity is part of the campus’s commitment to social care values amidst the community. “Ramadan is a month of blessings and the best moment to share. Through this activity, we want to show that the campus is not only a place to acquire knowledge, but also to be present in a tangible way for the surrounding community,” Ishak Kholil said in a statement in Jakarta, Saturday (7/3/2026).

According to him, consistency is the key to this programme. He added that the nasi box distribution is not merely an annual agenda, but a form of care that they wish to maintain.

“We want empathy and solidarity to truly live within the campus environment. We hope this spirit of sharing can strengthen harmonious relations between UBSI and the community,” he added.

One of the beneficiaries, Ali, a motorcycle taxi driver who usually hangs around the Fatmawati Campus, said the programme has helped him. “Alhamdulillah, it is very helpful for those of us who sometimes cannot return home at Maghrib. It is not just about the food, but also the attention from the campus to us. Thank you UBSI, may blessings be with you and may you continue to flourish,” Ali said.
