JAKARTA — The South Jakarta Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) conducted a joint operation to crack down on sellers of alcoholic beverages (miras) on Friday evening, 6 March 2026.

In the raid, officers seized a total of 324 bottles of alcoholic drinks of various brands from several locations in the Tebet sub-district and Kebayoran Baru sub-district.

Head of South Jakarta Satpol PP, Nanto Dwi Subekti, explained that the operation was undertaken as both an enforcement action and a measure to maintain public tranquillity and order during the holy month of Ramadan.

‘This operation is a crackdown on the distribution of alcoholic drinks sold without a licence and contravening the applicable regulations,’ Nanto told Kompas.com when contacted on Saturday, 7 March 2026.

‘The alcohol seized includes 126 bottles of Fruit Wine, 24 bottles of Panther Stout, 12 bottles of Singaraja Bali Pale Ale, 48 cans of Rajawali Pros, 4 bottles of Tropical Naipa, 5 bottles of Somaek Soju Bombir, 6 bottles of Angker, and 6 bottles of Rajawali,’ he explained.

For Kebayoran Baru district, officers seized 93 bottles of miras, including 45 bottles of Intisari and 45 bottles of Apidin, as well as several other bottles from various brands.

According to Nanto, the alcohol raid was also aimed at curbing potential criminal activity and activities that disturb the public during Ramadan.

Following the crackdown, officers immediately documented the business operators and transported hundreds of bottles of alcoholic beverages to the South Jakarta Satpol PP warehouse.

‘Business operators found selling alcohol without a licence are documented and asked to sign a statement promising not to repeat the offence,’ he said.

The South Jakarta Satpol PP is said to continue increasing regular surveillance to ensure operators comply with the applicable regulations.
