The Nasdem Party’s central executive board (DPP) distributed one thousand staple food packages to residents of Terban Village, Jekulo District, Kudus Regency, Central Java, as part of its Ramadan social outreach programme.

Residents flocked to the Terban Village Hall on Tuesday (24 February) to participate in the DPP Nasdem Party’s Ramadan Safari social welfare event.

In attendance were Nasdem Deputy Chairman and Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Saan Mustopa, as well as Deputy Chairwoman of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR) Lestari Moerdijat.

In his remarks, Saan said the event served two purposes: firstly, to foster community ties during the month of Ramadan, and secondly, as a social welfare initiative reflecting the Nasdem Party’s concern for the public. A total of one thousand staple food packages were distributed.

“During Ramadan, the most important thing is maintaining community bonds. Secondly, we from the Nasdem Party are here to serve as an expression of our care for all of you,” Saan said during his address at the Village Hall.

“Sharing during Ramadan is of great importance. We hope that what we have given will be blessed and beneficial to the community,” he added.

He noted that Nasdem Chairman Surya Paloh consistently urged the party to do good, such as providing tangible benefits to the public during the holy month.

“Pak Surya’s message is to keep doing good, which is why we are conducting this safari to bring benefits to all members of the community,” he explained.

On the same occasion, Terban Village Head Supeno expressed his gratitude for the assistance provided. Supeno highlighted Nasdem’s role in supporting Terban residents, particularly in preserving the Patiayam Archaeological Site in Kudus.

“Thank you for championing the Patiayam Archaeological Site, which contains 1,600 fossil fragments from both terrestrial and marine species,” Supeno said at the venue.

“Our village was once separated from the island of Java, which is why many marine creatures and other specimens have been found atop the Patiayam Mountains,” he continued.
