Ramadan Boosts Retail Traffic, Shopping Centres Intensify Loyalty Programmes and Sportainment Initiatives

Shopping activity typically increases significantly during Ramadan, and for shopping centre operators, this period represents not merely a seasonal opportunity but a platform to drive transactions, strengthen customer loyalty, and establish positioning as a primary destination for shopping and family entertainment.

In Bekasi, Revo Mall has capitalised on this momentum through the Urban Shopping Extravaganza Vol.2 loyalty programme draw, held on 1 March 2026. The programme, which runs from 20 February 2025 to 22 February 2026, represents one of the mall’s largest campaigns to drive transactions and increase membership numbers over a full year.

During the draw commencing at 19.00 WIB, management distributed major prizes including one Honda WR-V unit, two umrah packages, and two precious metal packages of 10 grams each. The event was enlivened by a performance from singer Ghea Indrawari. The draw, timed to coincide with Ramadan 2026, was leveraged to strengthen Revo Mall’s image as a shopping destination offering rewarding experiences in Bekasi.

Ramadan itself is described as a period of heightened shopping activity. To capitalise on this, Revo Mall presented a series of events entitled ‘Serenade of Ramadan’, which combined shopping, entertainment, and Islamic competitions in one programme. The agenda included a Marawis Competition, Hadroh Competition, Qasidah Competition, a special performance by Ghea Indrawari, and the Urban Shopping Extravaganza Vol.2 draw.

Rather than ceasing after Ramadan, the operator immediately launched a follow-up programme entitled Gadget Fiesta 2026, running from 2 March to 30 August 2026. This programme serves as a strategy to maintain visitor traffic post-Ramadan whilst providing additional incentives for customers.

To participate, visitors must be registered as Revo Plus members and spend a minimum of IDR1,000,000 in a single receipt on the same day. Each transaction multiple entitles holders to a raffle coupon.

Prizes are divided across three periods: Apple Watch Series 11 in the first period, Samsung Galaxy S26 in the second period, and iPhone 17 in the third period. Winners are announced directly through the operator’s official Instagram account according to each period’s schedule.

Meanwhile, 2026 also marks a phase of strengthening Revo Mall’s transformation into a sportainment and sport lifestyle centre in Bekasi. This concept is designed to create an ecosystem that not only promotes active lifestyles but also builds social interaction and community within the shopping centre.

“The development of the sportainment concept is part of Revo Mall’s strategy to present tenants and facilities relevant to current public needs. We want Revo Mall to be a space that is not merely visited but also utilised for productive and sustainable activities,” said Rendy Renaldy Yusuf, Marketing Manager, Group Retail Farpoint.

A number of new tenants in the sports and lifestyle category have been introduced, including ASNA Academy, which operates in sports education and training; Deserve Social Club, featuring five modern-standard padel courts; and Anytime Fitness, which offers a 24-hour fitness centre concept.

Through the integration of shopping, entertainment, and sports facilities, Revo Mall has expanded its function beyond a retail transaction centre to become an integrated space for family activity and recreation in Bekasi.

Revo Mall stands on land spanning 4 hectares with a net leasable area of approximately 40,000 square metres distributed across four floors and rooftop space. Directly connected to the LRT and supported by the Biskita public transport network, the shopping centre was previously known as Bekasi Square and continues to transform through facade renovation, layout redesign, and tenant composition changes.

Revo Mall is managed by Farpoint, a national property developer that is part of Gunung Sewu Group, which possesses a portfolio spanning residential, commercial, hospitality, retail property development, and asset management.
