Human Initiative has initiated a series of launches for the Sebar Qurban 2026 programme in Telaga Banyak Village, Bayan Subdistrict, North Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara. This event marks the beginning of efforts to connect the potential of local farmers with the needs of communities in various regions.

Carrying the theme ‘Expand the Impact of Qurban’, the programme invites society to view sacrificial offerings as worship that brings broader benefits. Not only does it strengthen spiritual values, but sacrificial offerings also play a role in supporting food security and stimulating the local economy.

The event was attended by around 200 participants, including Human Initiative management, the Deputy Regent of North Lombok and his staff, community leaders, local farmers, and residents. The public could also watch the event via live broadcast on Human Initiative’s official channels.

Human Initiative Vice President Romi Ardiansyah stated that the programme is designed to expand the benefits of qurban through various approaches.

“Sebar Qurban has three main missions: facilitating worship, mobilising local farmers, and sharing happiness with the community. From this, we want qurban to provide more equitable and sustainable benefits,” he said on Thursday (2/4/2026).

Romi explained that West Nusa Tenggara Province, particularly North Lombok Regency, was chosen as the kickoff location because its community has a strong spirit of mutual cooperation and is supported by a potential local farmer ecosystem that can be empowered. On the other hand, the socio-economic conditions of the community also encourage equitable distribution of sacrificial meat from year to year.

“Togetherness is the foundation of this movement. When various parties are involved and proceed together, the benefits of qurban can reach further and be sustainable,” he explained.

He stated that in 2026, the Sebar Qurban programme targets delivering benefits to around 309,000 programme recipients. Distribution is planned to cover 27 provinces, 134 regencies or cities, and 145 regions in Indonesia, and will be expanded to 11 countries abroad. “This effort shows the direction of the programme to expand the reach of qurban benefits more equitably,” said Romi.

He added that Human Initiative invites the public to participate in the Sebar Qurban 2026 programme through the official website. “Qurban can be a simple step that brings benefits to more people,” he concluded.

North Lombok Deputy Regent Kusmalahadi Syamsuri highlighted the importance of involvement from various parties in implementing the programme in the community.

“To address various challenges in society, we need collaboration with various parties, including Human Initiative as a strategic partner. We also encourage the community not only to be recipients but to start participating in qurban through the various channels provided,” he said.

The launch event series included programme presentations, a launch ceremony, local cultural performances, and a talk show featuring stories from farmers and the community. Through these sessions, participants could see that qurban has a profound impact on everyday community life.

As a global humanitarian organisation, Human Initiative encourages a spirit of collaboration among all actors to jointly address existing humanitarian issues.
