Anticipating the surge in return traffic for Eid al-Fitr 2026, personnel from Purwakarta Police Resort are carrying out Intensified Routine Activities (KRYD) in the form of traffic flow regulation in front of the Cikopo Integrated Post, Cikopo Main Road, Cinangka Village, Bungursari Subdistrict, Purwakarta Regency, West Java.

The activity is directly under the command of Purwakarta Police Chief AKBP I Dewa Putu Gede Anom Danujaya, involving traffic police and mobile brigade personnel from Purwakarta Police Resort. During implementation, officers are conducting checks on vehicles entering the Cikopo toll gate.

Purwakarta Police Chief AKBP I Dewa Putu Gede Anom Danujaya stated that this activity represents the Indonesian National Police’s commitment to providing the best service to the community, especially during the Eid return flow.

“We are carrying out this traffic regulation to ensure the smooth and safe passage of return travellers. We also urge the public to continue complying with instructions from officers on the ground and to follow the implemented traffic engineering,” said the Police Chief on Saturday (28/3).

Meanwhile, to ease the density of vehicles heading towards the northern coast route, Purwakarta Police Resort’s traffic unit has stationed several officers at vulnerable checkpoint points, such as the border between Purwakarta and Karawang Regencies.

This includes coordination with Karawang Police Resort, which is responsible for the Jomin intersection and Cikampek flyover, to divert vehicles heading to the northern coast.

Police have also installed water barriers in front of the Cikampek toll gate exit leading to the arterial road of the northern coast route, to reduce the volume of vehicles heading to the northern coast and redirect them to the central route arterial road in Subang Regency via Sadang Purwakarta. According to him, the distribution of vehicles not concentrated at one time is key to maintaining smoothness at the ports.

Vehicles in the Eid return flow 2026 are still congesting the northern coast route and the Trans Java Toll Road in Central Java. Density is expected to increase until the peak of the second return wave on 29 March.

The government, together with Jasa Marga, is urging return travellers to schedule their journeys to avoid congestion during the peak Eid return flow 2026, and to take advantage of the 30% toll discount.

Jasa Marga predicts the peak return flow on 29 March will reach 250,000 vehicles. Return travellers are urged to head home earlier to enjoy the 30% toll discount.

Traffic flow on the Cikopo-Palimanan toll road or Cipali toll has returned to normal after the Eid return flow 2026.

Entering H-4 of Eid 2026, a traffic accident occurred on the northern coast route in Brebes, Central Java.

Traffic flow on the Northern Coast Route (Pantura) in Cirebon City, West Java, began to increase on H-7 of Eid or 14 March 2026.

Entering H-7 of Eid, return travellers using two-wheeled vehicles began passing through the northern coast route.

The Ministry of Public Works (PU) targets the northern coast route (Pantura) in the western region to be free of potholes before the Eid mudik flow 2026.

Workers are patching roads on the Pantura Widasari route, Indramayu, West Java.
