'Pure' tourists enjoy Timor trip

DILI, East Timor: Foreign tourists visiting the province
"purely" for relaxation can enjoy their stay without thinking of
political rumors about the territory, a local official said
yesterday.

Arnold Kolly Maly of the provincial tourism office said that
East Timor is open to foreign tourists who want to visit its
various attractions.

"Foreign tourists should come and enjoy their stay in this
youngest province and not worry about political rumors," he said
as quoted by Antara.

He said that the authorities would, however, take action
against those claiming to visit as tourists who in fact are on
other missions and engaged, for example, in journalistic
