Jakarta – PT Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok (PTP Nonpetikemas) Banten Branch successfully handled the maiden export of wind mill towers manufactured by PT Kenertec Power System destined for Canada through Berth 05A at Ciwandan Port, Banten in mid-February 2026.

This inaugural shipment of wind turbine tower components represents an important milestone in supporting the nation’s renewable energy industry to penetrate global markets. The project commodity with special dimensions and weight was handled through port services that prioritised safety, timeliness, and international operational standards.

Branch Manager of PTP Nonpetikemas Banten Andi Purwantoro stated that this success resulted from synergies between the port operator, shipping companies, customs authorities, and all relevant stakeholders.

“Handling project cargo such as wind mill towers requires careful planning, specialised equipment, and intensive coordination. We ensure that the entire process, from reception, stacking, to loading onto the vessel, runs safely and efficiently,” said Andi.

The wind mill towers exported form part of the wind power generation components that will be used in a renewable energy project in Canada. The loading process was conducted under strict supervision and supported by heavy equipment with large capacity to ensure cargo safety during operational activities.

This successful maiden export further strengthens the role of PTP Nonpetikemas Banten as a strategic national logistics hub capable of handling project cargo and oversized commodities.

PTP Nonpetikemas remains committed to continuously improving service quality, infrastructure capacity, and human resource competence to support national industry and export growth, particularly in the renewable energy sector. In line with this, the company also reaffirms its commitment to consistently implementing Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) principles across all operational lines through strengthening workplace safety culture, controlling operational risks, and compliance with safety and environmental protection standards.

PTP Nonpetikemas Banten, located in Banten, serves various dry bulk, liquid bulk, and general cargo commodities. Dry bulk commodities include wheat, coal, nickel ore, cement, gypsum, and shells. Liquid bulk commodities include liquid asphalt, diesel, methanol, paraxylene, and sulphur. For general cargo, commodities handled include heavy equipment, steel structures, and others.
