PT Telkom's professionalism

On June 13, 1996 at 11:00 a.m., the Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta, experienced a complete loss of telephone service to our hotel. This was caused by road construction taking place in the area, whereby our telephone lines were severed. It goes without saying that this presented major problems for the hotel and our guests, as telecommunications are vital to our operations.

I would like to commend PT Telkom for all of their efforts in going above and beyond the call of duty. They responded immediately to our problem, and supplied the necessary manpower and expertise to repair the damage in the shortest time possible. PT Telkom conducted itself with the utmost professionalism and a high degree of sensitivity and understanding to our problem.

On behalf of both the staff and the guests of the Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta, I would like to extend a very big 'thank you' to PT Telkom for a job well-done.
