KENDARI – The National Oil and Gas Entrepreneurs Association (Hiswana Migas) of Southeast Sulawesi has confirmed that PT Rinjani Nakhla Perkasa (PT RNP) is not a partner of PT Pertamina (Persero).

It was previously reported that PT Rinjani Nakhla Perkasa was suspected of selling subsidised diesel fuel to mining companies in the Kolaka Regency area.

DPC IV Secretary of Hiswana Migas Southeast Sulawesi, Fahd Atsur, confirmed when contacted that the transport company PT RNP is not a partner of either PT Pertamina or Hiswana Migas.

He stated that out of the total 32 fuel transporters and industrial fuel agents in Southeast Sulawesi, PT RNP, which is based in Kolaka Regency, is not registered in the database as a Pertamina partner.

"In the Hiswana Migas database, neither among transporters nor fuel agents is there any company named PT RNP. This means it is likely not a Pertamina partner," said Fahd Atsur on Thursday, 19 June 2025.

Nevertheless, Fahd Atsur noted that although the company is not registered with Hiswana Migas or Pertamina, it is possible that the company holds a General Trading Licence (NIU) issued by the central government through the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) and the Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas).

"However, it is still not permissible if there are fraudulent practices of selling subsidised fuel to mining companies, especially involving transporters whose authority is limited to fuel haulage services," he stressed.

Fahd Atsur urged mining companies to purchase industrial fuel officially from industrial fuel agents registered with Pertamina or BKPM.

"As this company is not part of Hiswana Migas or Pertamina, it is the duty of law enforcement to conduct further investigations into indications of misuse of subsidised diesel fuel being sold to the mining industry," he concluded.
