Jakarta – PT Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok (PTP Noncontainer Division) Banten branch handled the loading and unloading of 70,392 tonnes of wheat belonging to PT Nutrindo Bogarasa from the vessel MV Danae R at Ciwandan Port, Banten.

The ship carrying the food commodity arrived from loading ports in Argentina and docked at Berth 05C of Banten Port on 27 February 2026 at 18:30 Western Indonesian Time. Following document inspection and clarification processes in accordance with port regulations, loading and unloading operations were immediately conducted by the port’s operational team.

In handling the operations, loading and unloading activities were supported by three Gantry Luffing Cranes, three hopper units, approximately 70 cargo trucks, and wheel loaders for cargo trimming and cleaning.

This operation involved multiple parties in the logistics chain, including PT Nutrindo Bogarasa as cargo owner, PT Benua Indah Gemaca as shipping line, and PTP Noncontainer Division Banten branch as stevedoring operator. Ground distribution was supported by trucking companies PT Wangsa Binathara Indonesia, PT Ratu Melati, and PT Banten Citra Abadi, whilst quality supervision was conducted by PT Artha Buana as independent surveyor.

Branch Manager of PTP Noncontainer Division Banten, Andi Purwantoro, stated that handling the large volume of wheat unloading demonstrated the port facility and operational readiness in serving dry bulk commodities, particularly strategic food commodities.

“This wheat unloading is part of the port’s support for smooth distribution of raw materials for the national food industry,” said Andi.

He added that PTP Noncontainer Division Banten continues to increase operational productivity and service quality to ensure the logistics flow of strategic commodities runs efficiently and on schedule.

Throughout the unloading process, the company ensured implementation of occupational health and safety (OHS) standards and port security in accordance with applicable regulations. Commodity quality monitoring was conducted rigorously to maintain wheat quality during handling at the port.

As one of the noncontainer terminal operators in the Banten Port region, PTP Noncontainer Division Banten plays a role in supporting the smooth distribution of various bulk commodities, including food commodities that form an important part of the national supply chain.

PTP Noncontainer Division Banten, located at Banten Port, serves various dry bulk, liquid bulk, and general cargo commodities. Dry bulk commodities include wheat, coal, nickel ore, cement, gypsum, and shells. Liquid bulk commodities include liquid asphalt, diesel fuel, methanol, paraxylene, and sulphur.
