PSI Deputy Secretary-General Bro Ron Assaulted, Two Suspects Detained

The assault incident took place on Monday (4/5) at 16:22 WIB. At that time, around 15 employees of PT SKS were demonstrating in front of their office in the Menteng area, Central Jakarta.

“The employees came to hold an audience with the office of Michael, Putra & Partners regarding the unpaid wages of the employees,” said Menteng Police Chief AKBP Braiel Arnold Rondonuwu in his statement on Tuesday (5/5/2026).

However, during the audience, the employees were unable to meet with representatives from PT SKS. Menteng Police officers then escorted them to hold the audience at the Menteng Police Station.

“Initially, the audience process at the location proceeded safely and conducively with police accompaniment, until a group of unknown individuals appeared without clear reason and carried out intimidation and obstructed the audience process,” he said.

As a result of the actions of that group, the situation heated up and an altercation arose, ultimately leading to Bro Ron, who was present for the mediation, receiving blows from the group.

“Then the officers separated the victim and the suspects and secured them to be brought to the Menteng Metro Police Station for further examination,” he added.

In a separate confirmation, Ronald explained that he attended the audience because the MPP party that the PT SKS employees wanted to meet was an old friend of his. However, unexpectedly, Ronald became the victim of an assault by individuals claiming to be office security for MPP.

“They said they were there for office security and asked everyone to leave the building. If they wanted to protest, do it outside the building. About 10 seconds after they appeared from the stairs, the assault occurred as shown in the video,” Ronald stated.
