The Central Executive Board of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) has summoned Grace Natalie, Secretary of the PSI Board of Patrons, to seek clarification regarding her statements that have come under public scrutiny after being reported by several Islamic community organisations (ormas) to the police.

PSI Daily Chairman Ahmad Ali stated that Grace has provided an explanation that the statements she made were personal and do not represent the party’s position.

“Grace was also called by the Central Executive Board. Grace has given an explanation that she made the statement personally, not related to the party. We do not support Grace’s statement because this is a sensitive issue,” said Ahmad Ali in a statement on Tuesday, 5 May 2026.

Ali said the party hopes the issue involving the parties can be resolved through dialogue with the reporting ormas, rather than escalating the conflict. “The party hopes there will be dialogue between the reported parties and the ormas, so it can be resolved in a familial manner,” he said.

PSI has also confirmed the resignation of its cadre, Ade Armando, from party membership. PSI stated that the decision had been discussed together before being accepted by the party. Ahmad Ali said Ade Armando, in a meeting with the Central Executive Board, realised that several of his personal statements were often linked to the party.

An alliance of several Islamic community organisations (ormas) reported social media activist Permadi Arya alias Abu Janda, as well as two politicians Ade Armando and Grace Natalie, to the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency. The report concerns alleged incitement through electronic media, stemming from the polemic of a sermon by former Vice President Jusuf Kalla on 5 March 2026.

“We today represent around 40 Islamic ormas that we call the Alliance of Islamic Ormas for Religious Harmony, coming to file a police report that will report three people, namely brother Ade Armando, Permadi Arya, and Grace Natalie,” said Director of LBH Hidayatullah Syaefullah Hamid in front of the Bareskrim Polri building, Jakarta, on Monday, 4 May 2026.

Syaefullah said his side assessed that the three individuals had framed JK through videos and podcasts they uploaded to social media. “Ade Armando who posted a video excerpt, namely on Cokro TV dated 9 April 2026. Then Permadi Arya who posted on his social media dated 12 April 2026. Then Grace Natalie who posted on her social media dated 13 April 2026. There are narratives built where there is an incomplete video presented to the public,” he said.
