On behalf of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, we express our deepest condolences. This incident not only leaves wounds for the families but also for all of us,” said Rano at the DKI Jakarta City Hall on Wednesday (29/4/2026).
The two victims who died in the incident were Nurlela, a civil servant teacher from Pulo Gebang, East Jakarta, and Nurhayati, a Jumantik cadre from the Central Jakarta area. Both were known as dedicated figures in serving the community.
Rano stated that the compensation provided includes work accident insurance and death insurance. He emphasised that the assistance is hoped to help alleviate the burden on the victims’ families.
“We realise that this compensation cannot replace the immense loss. However, we hope it can provide some help and serve as a sign that the government is present among the people,” he said.
On that occasion, Rano also appreciated several parties who contributed to the compensation, including BKN, PT Taspen, BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, and Baznas Bazis DKI Jakarta.
Based on the data provided, the family of the late Nurlela received compensation from PT Taspen amounting to nearly Rp 283 million. Meanwhile, the family of the late Nurhayati received Rp 42 million from BPJS Ketenagakerjaan and Rp 20 million from Baznas Bazis DKI Jakarta.
