The Mataram District Prosecutor’s Office (Kejari) is challenging the acquittal of Baiq Mahyuniati Fitria, former Head of the Control and Dispute Resolution Section at the National Land Agency (BPN) in West Lombok, in a corruption case concerning the sale of fragmented land in Bagik Polak Village, West Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).

Ida Made Oka Wijaya, Head of Intelligence at Kejari Mataram, stated that they have filed a cassation appeal against the decision with the court. “We filed the cassation on Wednesday (6/5/2026),” Oka told detikBali on Friday (8/5/2026).

The reasons for the cassation, beyond the acquittal of Baiq Mahyuniati Fitria, were not disclosed. According to him, the cassation considerations form the core material of the case.

“Regarding that (cassation considerations), it’s the core material of the case, we cannot disclose it yet,” he said.

Oka noted that Baiq Mahyuniati Fitria was not held in a detention cell during the trial process at the Mataram Corruption Court (Tipikor). Instead, she was under city detention.

“The defendant underwent city detention during the trial. So, she is not currently in detention status,” he said.

The panel of judges, chaired by I Made Gede Trisnajaya Susila, ruled that Baiq Mahyuniati Fitria was not proven guilty in the corruption of the fragmented land sale.

“In its verdict, the court declares the defendant Baiq Mahyuniati Fitria not proven guilty of committing the criminal act in the primary and subsidiary charges from the prosecutor,” reads the judges’ verdict, quoted from SIPP PN Mataram, Thursday (30/4/2026).

Previously, the prosecutor had requested that the court sentence defendant Baiq Mahyuniati Fitria to one year and six months in prison, plus a fine of Rp 50 million subsidiary three months.

It should be noted that Baiq Mahyuniati Fitria is a defendant in this case alongside the Head of Bagik Polak Village, West Lombok, Amir Amraen Putra, and Majli Azhar.

For Amir Amraen Putra, he has been found guilty and sentenced to two years in prison and a fine of Rp 50 million subsidiary three months imprisonment, as well as paying restitution of Rp 140 million subsidiary six months imprisonment.

The judges stated that Amir was proven to have violated Article 3 of Law No. 20 of 2001 on Amendments to Law No. 31 of 1999 on the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) first of the Criminal Code.

In the previous trial, the prosecutor demanded that defendant Amir be sentenced to two years in prison and a fine of Rp 50 million subsidiary three months imprisonment.

Meanwhile, for defendant Majli Azhar, the trial process is still examining witnesses. It should be noted that the sale of the 3,757 square metre land caused state financial losses of Rp 958 million.
