Jakarta — Dana Pensiun Lembaga Keuangan (DPLK) Syariah Muamalat, an Islamic pension fund established by PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia Tbk to offer sharia-compliant pension investment services to the public, continues to expand its participant base.

During 2025, DPLK Syariah Muamalat added more than 13,000 new individual participants, bringing total individual membership to more than 125,000.

Corporate partnerships have similarly surged. Following partnerships with 825 companies by the end of 2024, DPLK Syariah Muamalat added a further 92 new corporate partnerships by the end of 2025, representing 11% year-on-year growth. This marks the largest expansion compared to previous years, driven by intensified Islamic financial literacy campaigns.

Executive Director DPLK Syariah Muamalat Aznovri Kurniawan stated that the increase in participants resulted in managed fund growth exceeding Rp1.9 trillion in 2025, representing 12% year-on-year growth, above industry growth rates. This achievement aligns with DPLK Syariah Muamalat’s mission to become the leading provider of Islamic pension services for all segments of Indonesian society and an advocate for Islamic financial literacy nationally.

“Alhamdulillah, the significant growth in participant numbers reflects increasing public trust and awareness in preparing for blessed and prosperous retirement through Islamic pension investment at DPLK Syariah Muamalat,” Aznovri said.

Several other financial indicators also improved. The return on asset (RoA) ratio increased to 6.44% in 2025 from 5.38% in 2024. The operational expense to operational income ratio (BOPO) also improved to 16.28% in 2025 compared to 18.35% at the end of 2024. Regarding investment returns distributed to participants, the yield rose to 7.72% in 2025 from 6.76% in the same period the previous year.

The positive growth in investment returns, fully distributed to participants, demonstrates the success of one of DPLK Syariah Muamalat’s key strategies focused on investment optimisation.

“It is gratifying that all DPLK Syariah Muamalat investment packages in 2025 delivered returns exceeding 7%, whether in low-risk, moderate-risk, or high-risk investment options,” Aznovri said.

Three-Pillar Strategy

DPLK Syariah Muamalat continues implementing a three-pillar strategy for business growth this year: solid business growth, investment optimisation, and sound governance with enhanced services and digitalisation. To realise this, DPLK Syariah Muamalat maximises services through Bank Muamalat’s branch network and strategic partnerships.

Aznovri added that participants now have easier access to balance information, transactions, and account opening through Muamalat DIN mobile banking application. This digitalisation has expanded outreach and strengthened independent services for participants at any time and place. Access is also available through the DPLK Syariah Muamalat website.

For participants wishing to claim pension benefits, the process can be completed through all Bank Muamalat branch offices throughout Indonesia.
