Project causes disturbance

When we go along Jl. S. Parman heading for Grogol, West
Jakarta, we can see a project billboard saying: Proyek Apartemen
Tertinggi dan Shopping Center Terbesar di Asia Tenggara (The
tallest apartment and largest shopping center project in
Southeast Asia). Unfortunately, the implementation and management
of the project is chaotic and technically disorderly, so that it
disturbs the environment. The road is damaged, with cracks here
and there, as it is frequently used by all kinds of heavy
vehicles of the project, such as earth laden trucks, trailers,
excavators, etc. The road was built a long time ago by Pondok
Anggrek and RII/TVRI housing complexes, and so is not part of the
project. This is a real nuisance to the residents who have to
drive to and from the complex.

The road's surface is covered with earth which trucks keep
dropping. When it rains the earth turns into mud and makes the
road dirty and slippery. On warm days, however, the earth turns
into dust that is blown into the air and makes breathing
difficult.
