The name Ronald A. Sinaga has once again come under public scrutiny after he became the victim of an assault in the Menteng area, Central Jakarta. The incident went viral on social media on Tuesday (5/5/2026), following a post by Ahmad Sahroni on his personal Instagram account. In the circulating video, Bro Ron is seen at the location when a man approaches him. He appears to dodge, but suddenly another man in black clothing punches him in the face. The situation briefly escalated before being broken up by residents and authorities. “The incident in the video did occur. Mr Ronald has filed a police report,” said Braiel when contacted by Kompas.com via short message on Tuesday. The police have secured two suspected perpetrators and are processing the report filed by Bro Ron. Behind the incident, Bro Ron is known as a figure with a fairly long career journey. He was first known as a businessman and content creator before entering the world of politics. His career has spanned the media industry, including at Trans7 and NET TV. Bro Ron’s name became increasingly known to the public after he actively advocated for alleged misuse of funds in the Indonesia Pintar Programme. One of the cases that emerged occurred in Karawang in February 2025.
