Praise be to God, the presidential sacrificial cattle donations for this area have now been fully distributed, including to flood-affected residents in the settlements. Gorontalo (ANTARA) – Sacrificial cattle donated by President Prabowo Subianto have been successfully distributed to residents in Biau District, North Gorontalo Province, including flood-affected members of the Didingga Remote Indigenous Community (KAT). “After being distributed to eligible residents, the 1.65-tonne presidential sacrificial meat, delivered through the management of Didingga Village’s Al Abrar Mosque, was also allocated to flood-affected residents, particularly in the Didingga KAT,” said Biau District Head Sutamin K. Usman in Gorontalo on Wednesday. “The cattle, named Monster, originated from Leboto Village in Kwandang District and were safely secured beside the mosque during Tuesday’s (26/5) evening flash flood,” he added. “Praise be to God, the presidential sacrificial meat for this area has now been fully distributed, including to flood-affected residents in the Didingga KAT settlements,” he said. In the Didingga KAT, following instructions from Regent Thariq Modanggu, no residents remain in their homes as floodwaters continue to inundate the settlements. “All women and children have left the KAT to seek refuge with relatives or neighbours in adjacent hamlets or villages to avoid further flash floods. Meanwhile, men are attempting to salvage belongings and find safe locations in other hamlets or villages,” Sutamin said. The flash flood was triggered by a 30-metre breach in the Didingga dam due to intense rainfall in the area.
