It is highly appropriate that after observing the seclusion, the Hindu community steps forward together in the spirit of harmony, peace, and unity.

Denpasar (ANTARA) - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto has urged the entire Hindu community to make the National Dharma Shanti 2026 a moment for mutual forgiveness.

“Dharma Shanti is a moment for mutual forgiveness, strengthening brotherhood, and reinforcing dharma (goodness) values in our lives,” said President Prabowo virtually from Denpasar, Bali, on Friday.

The National Dharma Shanti 2026 comprises a series of activities in commemoration of the Holy Day of Nyepi Saka 1948.

The President views it as highly appropriate that after observing the seclusion, the Hindu community steps forward together in the spirit of harmony, peace, and unity.

This aligns with the Tri Hita Karana concept, which teaches Hindus to maintain relationships with God, fellow humans, and nature.

These values are also the strength of the Indonesian nation.

“We are a great nation, a nation that is harmonious in diversity, a nation that upholds tolerance and differences—different but united,” stated President Prabowo.

“We safeguard togetherness, we strengthen national unity, and let us together build a just and prosperous Indonesia,” he added.

I Made Susila Adnyana, Chairman of the National Dharma Shanti 2026 Committee, added that this year PHDI has adopted the theme Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, One Earth, One Family.

In line with President Prabowo’s invitation, the theme reminds us that all beings on earth are one interconnected family.

“The main goal of Dharma Shanti is to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood among faiths, mutual forgiveness, and enhance religious harmony throughout Indonesia. Through this activity, we collectively foster attitudes of mutual respect and tolerance in accordance with the spirit of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,” he said.
