President summons several economic ministers and agency heads

Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Prabowo Subianto summoned several economic ministers and agency heads to the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Tuesday. Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto, at the Presidential Palace complex in Jakarta, stated that he was attending at the invitation of President Prabowo. He mentioned that there would be extensive discussions on economic matters. “Several issues will be discussed later,” he said. Meanwhile, Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa said he did not yet know which sectors would be addressed with President Prabowo. Regarding discussions on the rupiah exchange rate, Purbaya noted that this would be handled by the central bank. According to him, his attendance would focus on economic issues. “Not sure yet, probably discussing economic problems,” he said. At this limited meeting in the afternoon, several attending ministers included Minister of Agriculture Amran Sulaiman, Minister of Research, Higher Education, Science and Technology Brian Yuliarto, Coordinating Minister for Food Zulkifli Hasan, Minister of Investment/CEO of Danantara Rosan Roeslani, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, and Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Affairs Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono. Additionally, attendees included OJK Commissioner Chair Friderica Widyasari Dewi, OJK Executive Head for Capital Market, Financial Derivatives and Carbon Exchange Supervision Hasan Fauzi, LPS Deputy Commissioner Chair Farid Azhar Nasution, MIND ID Main Commissioner Fuad Bawazier, LPS Commissioner Chair Anggito Abimanyu, former BI Governor Burhanuddin Abdullah, and BI Governor Perry Warjiyo.
