Premium Sanitation Targets Growth in East Java Property Market
Transforming bathroom spaces as part of lifestyle and premium home design continues to evolve alongside growth in the property sector and commercial projects in East Java. Seeing this potential, sustainable water and housing solutions company LIXIL is expanding its market through the opening of a showroom in Surabaya. The showroom, built in partnership with PT Sukses Expamet, officially opened on 15 May 2026 and features a range of premium sanitary products from Grohe and Inax. Marketing Director LIXIL Water Technology Indonesia, Arfindi Batubara, said the showroom’s opening is a strategic move to broaden market access while offering a more personal consumer experience. ‘The opening of Showroom Manzio @313 is a strategic step for LIXIL to facilitate public access to the portfolio of premium sanitary products, while providing a much more intimate experience,’ Arfindi said in a statement on Thursday (21/5). He added that the showroom is expected to be a collaborative space for players in the design and property industries to determine material needs and room concepts aligned with market trends. Unlike conventional showrooms, this one adopts an immersive experience concept allowing visitors to explore design, technology, and the experience of using the products first-hand. LIXIL regards the concept as reflecting a shift in the bathroom’s function, no longer merely a functional space but a personal relaxation area or sanctuary within the home. The company also sees East Java’s market potential continuing to grow, especially with the development of the West Surabaya area as a centre for business, premium property, and hospitality projects. ‘We are proud to bring this space of inspiration to Surabaya. In addition to serving retail customers, going forward we will also activate the showroom as a productive platform through a range of events, such as product knowledge sessions, interior trends discussions, and specialist design consultations,’ Arfindi said. In addition to retail consumers, the showroom is also projected to support large-scale project needs that require sanitary products meeting global standards.
