Pramono to Vero: Tell Mr Ahok that Sumber Waras has been Completed
Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has issued an open message to former Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, also known as Ahok. He delivered the message via Veronica Tan, Deputy Minister for Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection, during Cap Go Meh celebrations in Glodok, West Jakarta, on Tuesday, 3 March. ‘And I will continue all the good things from previous governors. From Pak Ahok, as it happens there is Bu Vero, please convey to Pak Ahok, Bu,’ Pramono said in front of invited guests.
He emphasised that one of the issues he wanted to address was the controversy over the purchase of land for Sumber Waras Hospital, which had drawn public scrutiny in the previous administration. ‘I have resolved what is called Sumber Waras that was previously a burden. Alhamdulillah now Sumber Waras is fully resolved,’ he said.
He added that solving the matter is part of his commitment to finish overdue work and maintain continuity of development across leadership tenures. Furthermore, Pramono assured the DKI Provincial Government is ready to go further. The land and administrative problems that had previously entangled it are now said to be cleared, so the next stage is the construction of internationally standard health facilities. ‘Ready to build an International Hospital whose name I will announce in due course,’ he asserted. Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) disclosed the chronology of detecting a potential loss by LNG Pertamina amounting to US$300 million in today’s corruption trial. Basuki Tjahaja Purnama alias Ahok arrived at the Corruption Court (Tipikor) at the Central Jakarta District Court, Monday morning, 2 March. The presence of the former Pertamina President Director is considered to provide a basis for the Prosecutor in handling the Pertamina corruption case. Basuki Tjahaja Purnama or Ahok described his golfing activities during his tenure as President Director of PT Pertamina (Persero) as normal. Ahok said that during his tenure there were no reports of findings from BPK regarding vessel chartering in the trial of Riza Chalid Kerry Adrianto in the trial of crude oil governance.
