Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has revealed the transaction value during the ‘Mudik to Jakarta’ programme. Pramono stated that the transaction value has reached tens of trillions. “The Mudik to Jakarta programme runs until 31 March, involving various collaborators such as Citilink, KAI, hotels, tourist destinations, shopping centres, and various promotions. Up to before Eid last week, the transaction record was already Rp 21 trillion,” said Pramono at Jakarta City Hall on Wednesday (25/3/2026). The ‘Mudik to Jakarta’ programme was first held this year. The programme offers various tourism packages to shopping discounts. Pramono is optimistic that the figure will increase in the coming days. It is targeted that by the end of March, the transaction value will reach Rp 25 trillion. “We hope that by 31 March, it can exceed Rp 25 trillion, hopefully,” he said. Pramono also revealed that this programme is not only popular among Jakarta residents but is also followed by several other provinces. Some regions are starting to adopt and implement similar concepts to boost local economic circulation. “The Mudik to Jakarta programme has also been followed by various provinces, including from Semarang with transactions of Rp 8 billion, then Surabaya Rp 6.2 billion, and so on,” he explained. The DKI Provincial Government assesses that the enthusiasm of the public to come to Jakarta post-Eid has also boosted the number of visits to various tourist spots, such as Monas, Ragunan, and Ancol, all of which recorded significant increases in the last three days. Pramono stated that the entire series of this programme is part of efforts to encourage post-Eid economic circulation while maintaining public services in the capital. “We see a very good public response and everything is running smoothly. Hopefully, by the end of this month, the transactions will increase further,” said Pramono.
