Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung and Deputy Governor Rano Karno have outlined the achievements of their first year in office. Pramono cited the launch of Transjabodetabek services and the construction of a pedestrian overpass (JPO) connecting Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) to Ancol as key accomplishments.

Pramono made the remarks at the “One Year Building Jakarta from the Ground Up” event at Taman Bendera Pusaka in South Jakarta on Friday (20 February 2026). He explained that the Jakarta provincial government had opened Transjabodetabek routes to improve accessibility for Greater Jakarta residents and reduce congestion.

“We opened Transjabodetabek. Initially from Alam Sutera to Blok M, PIK 2 to Blok M, Bogor to Blok M, then from Bekasi to Dukuh Atas Cawang, Bekasi to Cawang, Cengkareng, and Sawangan Depok to Pondok Labu,” Pramono said in his address.

He said Transjakarta would soon open a Blok M to Soekarno-Hatta Airport route at a fare of Rp 3,500. Pramono said this would make transport in Jakarta safer, more comfortable, and more accessible for residents.

“Soon we will open a route from Blok M to Soekarno-Hatta Airport. The fare remains Rp 3,500. By comparison, the DAMRI bus costs approximately Rp 60,000 and a taxi would be upwards of Rp 100,000. So that is what we will do to make Jakarta safer, more comfortable, and more accessible. We remain committed to free fares for 15 eligible categories,” he explained.

Pramono noted that Jakarta now ranks 17th in the world for transport infrastructure. Within ASEAN, the capital trails only Singapore.

“Jakarta now occupies 17th place globally for transport infrastructure. In ASEAN, we are only behind Singapore — we have now surpassed all the others,” he explained.

The provincial government has also built a pelican crossing in Cikini. Meanwhile, the Highways Agency is completing the removal of the monorail infrastructure along Jalan Rasuna Said.

“This is nearly finished — the monorail removal is now complete. Hopefully before 22 June this year, the Kuningan area will look much like Sudirman-Thamrin, with pedestrian walkways, proper drainage, and improved parks,” he said.

Pramono added that another achievement was the construction of a pedestrian overpass connecting JIS to Ancol. “What we have also done is build a JPO connecting JIS with Ancol. So when you go to JIS to watch Persija play, like tonight, you won’t need to park at JIS,” he said.

“You can park at Ancol and walk a maximum of roughly 350 metres without encountering congestion — it will be much easier and better. With this, I am confident JIS will become better and more accessible in terms of transport. And Persija — give us a championship title as a gift,” he concluded.
