Governor of DKI Jakarta, Pramono Anung Wibowo, has officially signed Circular Number 3/SE/2026 regarding the implementation of work-from-home (WFH) policies for civil servants (ASN) every Friday. Under the regulation, the proportion of ASN eligible to carry out WFH is set between 25% and a maximum of 50% of the total employees in the smallest work unit. This policy is applied selectively, taking into account the characteristics of tasks and the type of work in each unit. “For WFH or work from anywhere, I have already signed the circular. Each regional agency can implement it in the range of 25% to 50%,” said Pramono at Jakarta City Hall. ASN permitted to undertake WFH must meet several criteria, including not being under disciplinary proceedings and having more than two years of service. Additionally, employees carrying out WFH are required to conduct online attendance via a mobile application twice, at 06:00–08:00 WIB and 16:00–18:00 WIB. Pramono emphasised that the provincial government will continue to monitor the implementation of the policy through a supervision system currently being developed, to ensure that ASN productivity remains maintained. ASN who violate the provisions will face sanctions, ranging from revocation of WFH rights to disciplinary sanctions in accordance with applicable rules. This policy is also dynamic and will be evaluated periodically every two months, and can be adjusted at any time according to needs and statutory regulations.
