JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Governor of Jakarta, Pramono Anung, stated that many public facilities in Jakarta are not funded by the Regional Budget (APBD).

This policy is implemented to ensure that development does not solely depend on local government budgets, particularly after the central government reduced Jakarta’s revenue sharing.

“In the coming years, we will inaugurate many buildings, parks, and several public facilities that are fully funded outside of the APBD,” said Pramono during a briefing to the DKI Jakarta Education Office staff at the DKI Jakarta Education Office building, Jalan Gatot Subroto, South Jakarta, Thursday (February 26, 2026).

He urged the DKI Provincial Government to seek alternative funding sources by increasing transparency and public trust.

Pramono cited the upcoming inauguration of Taman Bendera Pusaka as an example. According to Pramono, the project, worth IDR 100 billion, does not use APBD funds.

In addition, the redevelopment of Taman Semanggi was also carried out with non-APBD funding, amounting to approximately IDR 134 billion.

This funding comes from corporate social responsibility (CSR) schemes and contributions from developers through the Floor Area Ratio (FAR) policy and Certificates of Conformity (SLF).

“Taman Bendera Pusaka, which I will inaugurate this March, has a total funding of approximately IDR 100 billion. Not a single penny comes from the APBD. Where does it come from? We are building trust with the public that Jakarta is now improving, being transparent, and open,” he said.

In addition, Pramono mentioned that several other projects are being prepared, including the development of the Bundaran Lingkaran Sudirman area in Dukuh Atas. There is also an underground pedestrian path connecting several hotels in the city center directly to the Jakarta MRT station.

“The HI roundabout has become much tidier,” he said.

Pramono believes that this accelerated development is in line with Jakarta’s status as a global city after the enactment of Law Number 2 of 2024.

He claims that Jakarta’s position in global city rankings has improved in recent times.
