Pramono Mandates DKI Civil Servants to Return to Office on 30 March, Absent Without Reason to Face Sanctions
JAKARTA - Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has emphasised that all civil servants (ASN) within the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government must return to working from the office starting Monday (30/3/2026), after the work-from-anywhere (WFA) policy ends on Friday (27/3/2026).
“After the WFA period ends and the work system returns to normal, all ASN must return to working in the office as per the provisions,” said Pramono at Jakarta City Hall on Wednesday (25/3/2026).
He assured that ASN who fail to report to work without a clear reason will be dealt with firmly.
“ASN who do not report to work without a clear reason will be given sanctions in accordance with applicable regulations. There is no room for disciplinary violations,” Pramono stated.
Misuse of such facilities, according to Pramono, will be immediately addressed as per the provisions.
“The use of official vehicles (red plates) will also be closely monitored and firmly dealt with if misuse occurs,” he said.
On that occasion, Pramono also touched on the flow of migrants to Jakarta after Eid al-Fitr.
He emphasised that the capital remains open to everyone, but those coming are expected to have preparedness and clear objectives.
Although no justice operations will be conducted, the DKI Provincial Government ensures that arrangement and enforcement will continue to maintain mutual comfort.
It is known that the WFA policy was implemented on a limited basis with a maximum of 50 percent ASN in one work unit.
During the WFA implementation, the working hours of ASN remained regulated.
On 16–17 March, working hours were set at 7.5 hours per day, while on 25–27 March it became 8.5 hours per day.
