Pramono, Anies, and Sutiyoso Attend Cap Go Meh Celebration in Glodok, Coordinating in Traditional Changshan Attire
JAKARTA — Governor of DKI Jakarta Pramono Anung, former Governor of DKI Jakarta (2017–2022) Anies Baswedan, and former Governor of DKI Jakarta (1997–2007) Sutiyoso attended the Cap Go Meh celebration in the Pancoran Chinatown Point area of Glodok, West Jakarta, on Tuesday, 3 March 2026.
According to observations on site, all three arrived at approximately 16:30 WIB. Their presence immediately attracted the attention of residents who had crowded the event area.
They walked together towards the main celebration venue whilst greeting the enthusiastic public. Lion dances and dragon dances accompanied their procession.
On this occasion, all three appeared coordinated in traditional Chinese changshan garments of different colours.
Pramono wore a golden-yellow changshan with koi fish motifs paired with black trousers.
Anies wore a blue changshan with a horse design trim, whilst Sutiyoso chose a cream-coloured changshan.
Besides the three figures, Deputy Minister for Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection Veronica Tan and Deputy Minister for Creative Economy Irene Umar were also present.
Pramono sat to the left of Pangdam Jaya Major General TNI Deddy Suryadi and next to Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Asep Edi Suheri.
They appeared to enjoy the series of performances, ranging from lion and dragon dances to performances by ondel-ondel figures.
Pramono occasionally laughed while watching the attractions displayed on stage.
The Cap Go Meh celebration at Pancoran took place festively and served as an occasion of unity across generations of Jakarta’s leaders and the community.
