Jakarta (ANTARA) - Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo stated that the implementation of naming rights for bus stops in the capital aims to attract investors to jointly build public facilities. “All bus stops in Jakarta already have names. Because once named, there’s profit in it,” Pram said at City Hall on Thursday. Pram, the familiar name for Pramono, emphasised that anyone can name the bus stops, including individuals. This policy is one of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government’s efforts in creative financing. The revenue from naming rights will be used to develop Jakarta. Regarding licensing issues for political parties wishing to use naming rights on bus stops, Pram said it is not a serious matter. He stressed that the naming rights policy is not focused solely on political parties. “No, because after all, the main focus is the business world,” Pram asserted. “Naming rights will certainly have more detailed and specific regulations,” Pramono stated. According to him, as a modern city, Jakarta must open itself to various things. Nevertheless, Pram is committed to maintaining the comfort and beauty of the capital. For that, he will prepare more detailed regulations regarding naming rights. “Of course, the naming rights granted must not disrupt the city’s beauty, and we will regulate that,” Pramono explained.
