BANDUNG — Pradi Supriatna, a member of Commission I of the West Java Regional House of Representatives, has reaffirmed his commitment to monitoring the policy of providing Festive Allowance (THR) to part-time PPPK workers within the provincial government.

As a representative of the people, Pradi believes that Regional House of Representatives members are required to oversee the regional budget to ensure it genuinely leads to West Java’s advancement over the next five years. Through the legislative function, representatives are also expected to exercise their rights for the welfare of the community and the region they represent.

The rights in question involve exercising budgeting, oversight, and legislative functions optimally so that regional government policies can be effectively targeted and provide tangible benefits to the community.

In this context, Pradi considers attention to the welfare of apparatus, including part-time PPPK workers, as part of efforts to maintain the quality of public services in the region.

According to him, the existence of part-time PPPK workers is part of the reorganisation of non-civil service personnel mandated by Law Number 20 of 2023 concerning Civil Service. Therefore, the regional government must ensure that the welfare aspects of these employees remain a priority.

“These part-time PPPK workers also carry out public service duties. Therefore, they deserve attention, including regarding the provision of festive allowance ahead of Eid,” said Pradi on Wednesday, 11 March 2026.

The former deputy mayor of Depok further added that the Regional House of Representatives, through its oversight function, will continue to ensure that policies related to employee welfare can proceed in accordance with regulations and the region’s fiscal capacity.

“We in the Regional House of Representatives will certainly monitor this policy to ensure it runs well. As long as the region’s fiscal capacity permits, community welfare must remain a priority,” he said.

Pradi also considers the part-time PPPK scheme a transitional step in the process of reorganising non-civil service personnel within government administration. Therefore, policies adopted need to consider aspects of fairness and career sustainability for these employees.

He hopes that the West Java provincial government can formulate proportional policies, both in terms of budgeting and implementation mechanisms, so as not to create disparity among government apparatus.

“What is most important is certainty. The employees who have worked thus far certainly hope for government attention, especially ahead of the Eid celebration moment,” he said.

Previously, Regional Secretary Herman Suryatman stated that THR budgeting is a form of support to civil service apparatus in welcoming Eid al-Fitr, including for part-time PPPK workers.

“The amount of THR that each part-time PPPK worker will receive is equivalent to one month’s final salary,” he said on Friday, 27 February 2026.

Although the budget has been allocated, according to him, the disbursement of THR is still awaiting the issuance of a government regulation (PP) that specifically regulates the provision of THR for civil service personnel. This regulation serves as the legal basis for payment implementation in the region.
