President Prabowo Subianto will meet with 12 major Japanese business leaders tomorrow. The meeting is taking place during his official visit to Japan.
Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya explained that Prabowo is scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi at Akasaka Palace tomorrow. The two will discuss economic cooperation agreements between Indonesia and Japan.
“So tomorrow, the President will also meet with Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, the Prime Minister of Japan. The agreement was signed previously. So the investment (signed at the business forum earlier), that investment is part of the overall Indonesia-Japan agreement,” he told reporters in Tokyo, Japan, on Monday (30/3/2026).
After that, Teddy continued, Prabowo is scheduled to meet with several major Japanese business leaders from various sectors. Minister of Investment and Downstreaming Rosan Roeslani and Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia will accompany him in the meeting.
“Then, the second one, tomorrow afternoon, he will be introduced to about 12 of Japan’s largest business leaders by the Minister of Investment and the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources with the President, similar to what was done yesterday in America,” said Teddy.
According to him, the meeting demonstrates Indonesia’s strength as a global investment magnet. He stated that global investors are increasingly confident in investing their capital in Indonesia.
“So, what is the conclusion? The main point is that Indonesia, with such large investments here, the President brought in 380 trillion in investments, right? That is proof that Indonesia is becoming a global investment magnet. That’s the first point. Secondly, abroad, they are increasingly keen to invest in Indonesia,” he concluded.
It is known that President Prabowo attended the Japan-Indonesia Business Forum in Tokyo during his official visit to Japan. In that business session, several business cooperation agreements between the two countries worth Rp 380 trillion were signed.
“This afternoon until evening, there was a business forum. The essence of the business forum is cooperation between Indonesia and Japan, and investments from the Japanese government and private sector to Indonesia amounting to approximately Rp 380 trillion,” said Teddy.
